Bloom Capital Review
Bloom Capital Review is a finance publication built on a single conviction: rigorous financial analysis should not require a Bloomberg terminal to understand.
We cover company valuations, private equity, Pakistan’s economy and capital markets, and global finance — with sourced figures, dated updates, and reasoning you can follow. A beginner should be able to read our work and understand what is happening. A professional should be able to read the same piece and find something worth their time.
Who we are

Bloom Capital Review was founded by Malik Faheem, MD, a Stanford-trained physician based in Chicago. Its premise is a transfer of method: the evidence-based discipline medicine demands of every claim — sourced, checkable, honest about uncertainty — is the same discipline this publication applies to finance.
The publication’s authority rests on that process, not on a single byline. Our analysis follows the standards set out in our Methodology: primary sources only, every figure dated, conclusions corrected in public when they are wrong. We publish staff and contributor work that meets those standards. What a reader should trust is not who wrote a piece, but how it was sourced and whether it holds up.
What we cover
- Valuations & corporate finance — intrinsic value, DCF methodology, earnings quality, capital allocation.
- Pakistan markets — KSE-100, SBP policy, IMF programme, sovereign risk, Eurobond spreads.
- Global finance — macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, private equity, and cross-border capital flows.
- Personal finance — how macroeconomic shifts reach savings accounts, mortgages, and investment decisions.
Our standards
Every figure is sourced and dated. Every analytical piece carries a byline, a published date, and an updated date. We correct errors publicly and promptly. We do not publish investment advice — this is educational analysis, and we say so plainly.
- Methodology — how we research and source our work
- Corrections — our corrections policy and log
- Disclaimer — scope of our analysis
- Privacy — how we handle your data
